Hullo there,
Sometimes I wonder how other bands exist. For example where do they get the money to pay their rent and telephone bill and buy fresh soup for lunch and peanut butter for dinner and jars of Frank's Hot Sauce? I don't mean mega-famous bands like U2 or Mumford & Sons but just small bands that play shows in small rooms. Because, we're a band who play shows in small rooms and generally we just about break even doing that and then when we come home we don't have extra money for hot sauce or to give to Three or our landlords. How do they do it? Where does the money to exist come from for them? For me it comes from sitting in offices and looking out of windows and nodding at my various bosses.
Anyhow. It's nearly the end of the first month of 2013 and we are being very quiet aren't we. Actually I've been recording lots of demos onto my phone and looking at my neighbours out of my bedroom window. I keep the lights in my room off though so they can't see me. I've seen Rear Window. I know things. I'm still waiting for Grace Kelly to bring me some lobster though.
I digress. We're writing a new record. I'm actually pretty excited about it. Eventually we'll record the songs on computers rather than phones and then we'll do all the things bands do like play shows in small rooms and do interviews in kitchens for people's university projects. That's basically our level.
Hang tough for a while ok?
